Job Description
Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting, the Accountant will carry out the following duties:-
Process day to day financial activities (using SAP) and ensure the processing of suppliers, employees and other claims in line with company policies and procedures
- Maintain and update balance sheet items, fixed asset register, employee balances, supplier confirmations, inventory, bank reconciliations and accounts receivables
- Payroll – ensure accurate costing of payroll including allowances, deductions, taxes
- Ensure compliance of all internal financial controls including the company’s global policy and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX)
- Assist junior or non-finance personnel on finance issues
Requirements:
- University degree in either finance, accountancy, business or similar – essential
- Accounting certification – preferred
- A minimum of five years experience in auditing, accountancy and financial process controls in a multi-national business
- Excellent written and oral communication experience
- Experience of using ERP systems e.g. SAP and accounting packages
